ASSISTANT STATE PROSECUTOR / SENIOR ASSISTANT STATE PROSECUTOR

The Office of the State Prosecutor is a statewide independent agency charged with investigating and prosecuting criminal offenses related to public corruption, official misconduct, election and campaign finance law violations, and other crimes.

The Office of the State Prosecutor is seeking applicants for a current vacancy at either the Assistant State Prosecutor or Senior Assistant State Prosecutor level.  Maryland Bar membership is required.  At least two years of litigation experience are required for the role of Assistant State Prosecutor, and at least four years of litigation experience for the role of Senior Assistant State Prosecutor.  Ideal candidates will have excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. The salary range is approximately $100,000 – $124,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The position will be responsible for the oversight of criminal investigations and the prosecution of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases throughout the State of Maryland, including trials, appeals and post-conviction matters.
