Law Clerk
The Maryland Office of the State Prosecutor investigates and prosecutes public corruption, official misconduct, election law violations, and other crimes throughout the State of Maryland. The Office of the State Prosecutor employs law clerks to support prosecutions and investigations, with an emphasis on legal writing and research, related to a variety of alleged offenses, including misconduct by police and public officials, corruption, bribery, perjury, theft, extortion, tax evasion, and campaign finance violations. Law clerks also have the opportunity to engage in legislative work to help advocate for stronger corruption and campaign finance laws in Maryland. Law clerks must be comfortable with confidentiality. The position is unpaid but the Office supports obtaining academic credit.
