May 15, 2018: Kelly Madigan Named Deputy State Prosecutor

KELLY MADIGAN NAMED DEPUTY STATE PROSECUTOR

State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt announced today that Kelly Madigan has been appointed Deputy State Prosecutor, filling the position left open by the retirement of long term Deputy Thomas “Mike” McDonough. Madigan, who spearheaded the recent multi- agency investigation into smuggling and corruption at the Jessup Correctional Institution which resulted in the indictment of eighteen individuals, joined the office in June of 2016. Previously, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for eleven years at the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.

State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt stated: “Not only is Ms. Madigan an excellent and experienced litigator, she also possesses the sound judgment, legal knowledge and integrity necessary for this assignment. I am delighted that she has agreed to accept the position and I look forward to continuing to work with her in this capacity”.
